How it works, stage by stage

Four things you get before anyone talks about a deal.

All free, public or private as you choose, and built from sources you can check.

Look up a well.

Type the API number from a royalty stub, a lease name, a family name from an old permit, or an operator.

  • The recordOperator, status, formation, depth, and every filing for that API number.
  • What is around itPermits outstanding and completions since last year in the same district.
  • Updates when something changesWatch a well and get its county report now, and per-well alerts as they launch.

Pick the one that fits today.

None requires a sale, and none commits you to the next one.

Who is making the offer.

A buyer, and we say so on every page that invites a deal.

  • The buyer is named. The business that publishes this site is the one that signs the offer and pays.
  • The economics are explained. We earn by owning what we buy, not by charging you. No commission is not the same as the highest price.
  • Your choice stays visible.Nothing here requires a sale, and nothing from your case is published or sold as a lead.
  • Offers can be checked. The written offer lists what can change after title review, and by how much.

The buyer

Fair Mineral Offer is published by the business that makes the purchase offers and lease proposals described on this site. Research, maps, and news here are prepared by a prospective buyer and are not an independent appraisal.

Purchasing entity: To be confirmed before launch. Based in West Virginia. Named contact: To be confirmed before launch.

Vision and mission

Why we publish before we buy.

An owner who understands what they own makes a decision that holds. A buyer who shows its work earns the next conversation.

  • Facts before offersThe screening, the map, and the family tree exist so the decision is made on records, not on a letter and a hunch.
  • Say which hat we are wearingWe publish and we buy. Every page that invites a deal says so, and research from a buyer is never called an appraisal.
  • Make leaving easyNo deadline on a letter, no follow-up after a decline, no sale required for anything we give away.

Twelve counties first. Every county welcome.

County pages, newsletters, and research capacity start where the most drilling is happening.

A direct purchase starts with the details of your mineral interest.

Understand the offer

Straight answers.

What makes the offer fair?

It is calculated the same way for every interest, from stated inputs: what you own, lease status, production and decline, forward prices, deductions, and county activity. The offer lists those assumptions so you can check them, and you can compare it with any other offer before deciding.

Are you a broker?

No. The business behind this site is the buyer. Nobody markets your interest to other companies, and nobody charges you a commission.

Will you beat another offer?

That is the aim, not a promise. A real comparison covers the same interest and the same terms, including who pays closing costs and when you are paid. Ask us to put both side by side.

Do I have to sell to use the research?

No. The screening, the map, the county newsletters, and the family-history review are yours whether or not you ever ask for an offer. Declining ends the conversation unless you restart it.
