Refer an owner

Know someone with West Virginia minerals? Introduce them.

A cousin who got a letter, a neighbor whose checks stopped, a client with an estate to settle. If you send them here and they go on to sell or lease to us, and that deal closes and funds, we pay you a referral reward. That is the whole program: one introduction, one reward, paid on a completed deal and nothing else.

What you get
A reward of To be confirmed before launch, paid within To be confirmed before launch after the deal funds. The exact figure is published here before enrollment opens.
What they get
The same as anyone: a free screening, a written brief, and a written offer only if they ask. Being referred changes nothing in how their case is handled or priced.
What it is not
Not a sign-up bounty, not a sales job, and not multi-level. Nobody earns from the people you recruit, and nothing is paid for sign-ups, reviews, or pressure.

How it works

  1. You get a code

Enroll below with your own details. A named person emails you a referral code and a copy of the terms. You never give us the owner’s name or number.

  2. You tell the owner, including that you may be paid

Say what this site does and that Fair Mineral Offer may pay you a referral reward if their deal closes. That sentence is a condition of the program, not a formality.

  3. The owner contacts us themselves

They open a case quoting your code, or they tell us you may introduce them. We do not contact an owner because you gave us a name.

  4. Their case runs the normal way

Free screening, a brief, and if they ask for it, an indication, title review, and a written offer. You see only three words about it: pending, eligible, or paid. Never their documents, their offer, or their decision.

  5. The deal closes and funds, and you are paid

The reward is owed when an eligible purchase or lease with us closes and the money has moved, and is paid within To be confirmed before launch. If the owner keeps their minerals, declines, or the deal fails title review, nothing is owed, and nothing changes between you and them.

Who and what qualifies

  • A new caseAn owner, estate, or family interest that does not already have an open case with us, and has not earned a referral reward in the previous twelve months.
  • Their own contact, or their permissionThe owner reaches out themselves, or has explicitly agreed to be introduced. A name passed along without their knowledge does not qualify.
  • A credible path to ownershipThe records have to point to an interest the owner or estate can actually sell or lease. The free screening establishes that.
  • A real transactionA purchase or a lease with us that closes and funds. Subscribing, asking for research, or receiving an offer earns nothing.
  • Not you, and not staffNo self-referrals, no employees or their households, no duplicates, and no invented owners.
  • Professionals check their own rulesAttorneys, accountants, advisors, and anyone licensed in real estate may have rules about being paid for introductions. Tell your client, and check before enrolling.

Why one level, and why only on a funded deal

Mineral interests are real property, and the people who hold them are often older, often out of state, and often already getting letters from strangers. A program that paid for sign-ups would reward exactly the behavior this site exists to stop. Paying only when a deal completes keeps the incentive honest: it is worth your while to send someone who would genuinely be better off knowing what they own, and worth nothing to send anyone else. One level keeps it simple to explain and simple to audit, and keeps us on the right side of the rules that apply to paying people for introductions.

Get a referral code

Your details only. The owner contacts us themselves, quoting your code, or tells us you may introduce them. We never ask you for their name or number.

Questions owners ask

Can I refer a family member?

Yes, as long as the interest is not yours, you are not an owner of it, and you tell them you may be paid. Co-owners of the same interest count as the same case.

What if the owner only wants the free research?

Then they get it, with our thanks, and no reward is owed. Most owners who come here keep what they have. That is a good outcome, and the program is built to be fine with it.

How do I know what stage their case is at?

You see pending, eligible, or paid for your code, and nothing more. The owner’s case is private, and we do not discuss it with you.

What if two people refer the same owner?

One reward per case, to the first valid referral on record. If the owner came to us before either referral, no reward is owed.

Is the reward taxable?

Rewards are income, and we may have to report them. We ask for the details the tax rules require before paying. Nothing here is tax advice.

Can I refer owners outside the priority counties?

Yes. We take inquiries from every West Virginia county. Research capacity starts in the twelve priority counties, so a case elsewhere may take longer.
